The PaSTIS Research Unit was established in 2008, aimed at collecting and presenting the work of a group of scholars at the Department of Sociology of the University of Padova, focused on social studies of science, technology, and innovation.

Research Unit Conributions Include:

- The Study of Scientific Knowledge Production Processes
- The Role of Technoscience in Daily  Life
- The Interaction Between Technoscientific Innovation and Mass Media
- The Analysis of Social Representations of Science and Technology
- The Relationship Between Science, Technology and Society

 

PaSTIS Research Unit intends to enhance scientific knowledge of the above topics, through analysis and documentation of research promoting exchange of knowledge and discussion by sponsoring seminars, conferences and debates, focused on developing collaboration between scholars and centers that share similar theoretical and research orientations.
