BIRD 2023: Artificial Intelligence discourses, promises and expectations: a transmedia analysis

Abstract

The BIRD 2023 project “On the Extended Artificial Intelligence Paradigm” involves researchers from the four sections of the FISPPA department. The contribution of PaSTIS consists in addressing the issue of Artificial Intelligence starting from the study of public discourse through the analysis of the main Italian newspapers and social media: the research will make use of the platform built for the TIPS project; in the second case, the main social media will be considered through the combined use of the platform.

On this empirical basis, it will be possible to carry out a comparative analysis between the different types of media channels. In this way, social transformations and their implications can be approached from a transmedia perspective contemplating discourses, promises and expectations of artificial intelligence.
