Contemporary men are increasingly changing their natural endowments, to correct, replace, or reinforce them. The consequences on the duration and quality of life are evident. From birth to death, the artificial interventions on the body increase and, with them, even the ability to manipulate our lives increases. Robots are no longer those monsters dear to science fiction. They assume human roles and functions, offering themselves as partners and friends of the near future. Are we moving from a natural to an artificial evolution of our species?
